These general terms and conditions apply to all orders between Cathelle Studio (located at Kapellenkouter 80 in 2070 Zwijndrecht (BE) with company number BE.0770.627.584) and its customers.

Section 1: General

  • Information: The authors (Catherine Elleboudt and Kristien Van den Branden) determine the content of the website and take great care of the information they publish. We take all possible measures to keep our website as complete, accurate and up to date as possible. We reserve the right to modify, supplement, or remove the site and its contents at any time, without any liability.
  • We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete, or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete, or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.

Section 2: Intellectual property

  • The structure of the site, as well as the texts, graphics, images, photos, databases, computer applications, etc. from which the site is composed or which can be accessed through the site, are the property of the authors and as such are protected by the applicable laws on intellectual property.
  • Any representation, reproduction, adaptation or partial or total exploitation of the content, brands and services offered by this site, by any means whatsoever, without the prior, express and written authorisation of the authors, is strictly prohibited.
  • Buying a product means you’re buying an item you can use, but not the copyright. This means you can use the product, but you cannot reproduce it. It is not allowed to copy (part of) the product you bought, nor use it for commercial purposes (like a logo, flyers, website, etc.).
  • If you do want to use it for commercial purposes, please get in touch with us.
  • Copyright remains in all instances with the authors Kristien Van den Branden and Catherine Elleboudt.

Section 3: Orders

  • The customer places the product in the shopping cart. Then the customer can view the shopping cart. We ask to check the cart before ordering. We cannot be held responsible if the customer ordered the wrong or too many of an item. 
  • The customer has the choice to send the product at the indicated cost price, or to collect it himself at a specified collection location. The correct total amount is only displayed after “calculating the shipping costs”. The country of delivery can have an influence on the total rate, due to differences in VAT rate between countries Belgium, and/or delivery costs. 
  • After this, the customer clicks on “continue checkout”.
  • The billing information must be entered here. It is the customer’s responsibility to enter the correct delivery address.
  • For business related invoice, fill out your business address as the invoice address, and include your business name / VAT information on the checkout form. After ordering, you will receive the order confirmation per email. If you need an invoice for business related orders, please contact us by email. 
  • If the customer is ordering a book for someone else and want to have it delivered at a different address, he/she needs to fill in their address under “shipping address”. The customer can leave their name in the notes-section at checkout so the authors can write who’s gifting it.
  • On the right-hand side, the customer can choose from the specified payment methods. The Customer has the choice between the following payment methods: Bancontact, Payconiq, iDeal, Bank Transfer and Credit Cards (with extra cost of 0,50 EUR).
  • After payment, the customer receives an overview of the order by email. When something went wrong with the order or with the payment, no order confirmation will be sent out. The customer can try again or contact us for follow up. The order will be shipped if the payment has been received and when the product has been released.
  • Pre-orders will be shipped out when the item is available (Book in Dutch: early November ; Book in French: by end of November ; Book in English: in the course of February 2022).
  • Signed products: Only pre-ordered books are signed.
  • Item out of stock: Our books are made in a limited number. As soon as the stock is empty, it will be communicated through the web page.
  • The authors are entitled to refuse an order due to a serious shortcoming of the customer regarding orders in which the customer is involved. 

Section 4: Payments

  • All prices are indicated in EUR and inclusive VAT.
  • Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
  • The price may vary, depending on where the goods are delivered, due to differences in VAT rates and/or delivery costs.
  • Accepted payment methods: Bancontact, Payconiq, iDeal, Bank Transfer and Credit Cards (with extra cost of 0,50 EUR).

Section 5: Shipping

  • Items ordered through this web page are delivered in Belgium, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and United Kingdom. Other countries may be available on request. 
  • Shipping address: Make sure you enter your address correctly. Your order will be sent to the address filled in. We cannot be held responsible for an error in shipping due to an error in filling the form. In case of error, please contact us directly by mail and we’ll try to fix the shipping to the right address. Additional costs resulting from incomplete or incorrect information provided by the customer will be charged to the customer.
  • Shipping day: All orders are shipped out every Wednesday (web shop day). We are a team of 2 people, creating, handling, and shipping all orders. So please be patient, we are handling your order with love and care! It will be on your way soon!
  • Shipping costs: All shipping costs include postage, packaging, and processing of the order. All orders are sent through bPost or PostNL. Standard shipping cost (<2kg):
    • BE: 6,40EUR (7,40EUR between 24 Nov 2023 and 31 Dec 2023)
    • LUX: 12,50EUR excl VAT 
    • NL: 9,00EUR excl VAT 
    • FR: 12,50EUR excl VAT
    • DE: 10,00EUR excl VAT
    • SP : 19,25EUR excl VAT
    • DK: 19,25EUR excl VAT
    • NO: 19,25EUR excl VAT
    • SW: 19,25EUR excl VAT
    • UK: 15,10EUR excl VAT
    • It is also possible to pick up your order at Kristien or Catherine’s place or in London at Maaike’s place. Please select the right shipping/pick up option for you at check out.
  • Shipping costs are based on the total weight of the parcel, not the size.
  • All orders are sent in packages with size of 30,5 x 22 x 2,5 cm.
  • Shipping times: Belgium: 1-3 days; Europe: 4-10 days (after the next webshop Wednesday)
  • Taxes: Additional taxes for your package to enter your country are at your own expense.

Section 6: Refunds and withdrawal

  • Changed your mind? We accept returns due to change of mind if a request to return is received by us within 14 business days of receipt of item, and are returned to us in original packaging, unused and in pristine condition.
  • The customer is requested to return the items in their original condition and packaging. All returned items are carefully examined. The basic principle here is that the consumer may only inspect the article as he would be allowed to do in a store. Returned items must not be used. When an item has undergone a decrease in value, whether due to the use of the customer or not, this will be charged to the customer.
  • Return shipping will be paid by the customer and will be required to arrange their own shipping. The refund paid is the value of the product (shipping cost not included) minus 0,50EUR for the admin fees. Once returns are received and accepted, refunds will be processed to shop credit for a future purchase.

Belgian laws apply to this agreement. Any dispute arising under these conditions shall be resolved by the country of Belgium.
